Cancer Incidence in 2001 for Ohio by jdc10 — last modified 2007-09-24 20:09 PM
This table displays the cancer incidence (that is, new cancer diagnoses) for residents of Ohio in 2001. The table provides cancer incidence for specific types of cancer and all-cause (Total All Types) cancer incidence. The columns display 1) the CASE COUNT or number of cases, 2) AGE-ADJUSTED average annual rates per 100,000 population, and 3) CRUDE average annual rates per 100,000. Rates are NOT gender-specific. You can see that the most common cancer per 100,000 are 1) prostate cancer among men, 2) lunch and bronchus (or windpipe). 3) Breast cancer among females, 4) colon & rectum cancer, and 5) bladder cancer. You can obtain a single sheet copy of these from another link in the CANCER section of ClevelandHealth.info. Published by the Center for Community Solutions in February 2002, this chart shows the all-cause cancer death rates per 100,000 population for the Cleveland neighborhoods (also called Statistical Planning Areas.) These rates were averaged over the 5 years of data collected. Rates per 100,000 allow for comparison to state and national rates.
