Diabetes in Cuyahoga and Lorain Counties (BRFSS, 2004)

Compare the prevalence of diabetes among adults in Cuyahoga and Lorain Counties.

7.6% of Lorain County residents were diagnosed with diabetes compared to 9.1% of Cuyahoga County residents. The confidence intervals for these estimates are (5.1 - 10.2)% and (5.2 - 13.1)% , respectively.

Click here for the BRFSS chart.

Statistically speaking, these estimates are not significantly different.

When sampling from a population, estimates are calculated as having a confidence interval. This interval reflects the range of estimates that would generally occur if the sampling was repeated many, many times. If we could interview every single person in each county, the true population percentages would be found in each interval.
