Ohio Results 2004

In July 2005, a report published in the CDC's Morbidity & Mortality Weekly Report analyzed vaccination coverage among children aged 19-35 months from the National Immunization Survey (NIS). Coverage ranged nationally from 89.1% in Massachusettes to 68.4% in Nevada.

In Ohio, 79.5% of children 19-35 months of age completed the 4:3:1:3:3 vaccination series. In Cuyahoga County, 83.2% of children completed the series. These rates are not statistically different since the 95% confidence intervals overlap:

Ohio: 79.5%;  95% confidence interval (74.1, 84.9)

Cuyahoga: 83.2% 95% confidence interval (77.6, 88.8)

For the updated 4:3:1:3:3:1 vaccination series, 70.6% of Ohio children 19-35 months of age completed the series. In Cuyahoga County, 78.4% of children completed the series. These rates are not statistically different since the 95% confidence intervals overlap:

Ohio: 70.6%;  95% confidence interval (64.9, 76.2)

Cuyahoga: 78.4% 95% confidence interval (72.1, 84.7)
