Tuberculosis Surveillance Data for Cuyahoga County, 2006

MetroHealth Medical Center performs surveilance, treatment and care for people with tuberculosis for Cuyahoga County. Here are recent surveillance statistics for 2006.

MetroHealth Medical Center performs surveillance, treatment and care for people with tuberculosis for Cuyahoga County. The program also works in the control of tuberculosis, as this is a contagious disease.

The State of Ohio Administrative Code stipulates that tuberculosis is one of over one hundred contagious diseases that must be reported to local public health authorities.  The Tuberculosis Program at MetroHealth is supported by the MetroHealth Medical System, the Cuyahoga County Commissioners, Cuyahoga County Board of Health and the Cleveland Department of Public Health.
