Medicaid/SCHIP program expands to make nearly all uninsured Ohio kids eligible

Expansion of Healthy Family Healthy Start to cover nearly all uninsured Ohio children. (Press release for December 8, 2008.)

A new decision by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) allows for the Ohio Medicare/SCHIP (State Childrens Health Insurance Program) to cover nearly all uninsured Ohio children. This affects nearly 50,000 children statewide.
